Don't you just love the outdoors? My family loves to experience everything that nature has to offer, including exploring new areas. This area is a hidden gem within the Wausau community. Put on your walking shoes and discover a part of Wausau that is underestimated for its beauty. It is a quiet and peaceful walk. We anticipate you will want to visit this area again and again.
We especially love the wildlife. We said wildlife, NOT mosquitos (BYO bugspray in summer). What makes this area interesting is the variety of birds and animals that live here. The catch is that you don't always see the inhabitants in nature, but you know they are there. Use the beacons around you to find this cache. Don't give up if you don't find it right away, think it through. Remember...there's no crying in geocaching, and if you have the time bring your fishing pole along, it's a perfect fishing hole.
Update 4/14/2015 ** Checked the cache today and the special gift for STF has taken a mysterious walk; no one that has logged the cache has seen it. Very disappointing. It will be awhile before we will offer a prize, other than the gift of finding the cache, inside our caches. I guess the chance you get when you play the game.
