Williamstown Beach Multi-Cache
Operator: Alas, it is with a heavy heart that I retire this cache.
I have so many wonderful memories of this beach and I credit the life saving club with getting me to where I am today.
Thanks for memories, however it is time to allow new hides in this area.

Williamstown Beach is located just south of the Williamstown Railway Station. It is also backed by the Esplanade, making it a very accessible beach.
A foreshore reserve is located at the eastern end and contains the Anglers Club, the pier, a car park, a park and a picnic area.
The Williamstown Swimming and Surf Life Saving Club, is located at the western end next to the Baths.
The beach is 550 m long and faces almost due south.
It receives waves during strong southerlies. These waves have built a wide, sandy beach fronted by an attached bar that widens to the west. At low tide, it can be a 100 m wade before you can swim off the bar. There is also a permanent rip that runs along the rock groin that is located near the life saving club.
This short multi will take you on a tour of the different sites of the beach.
WP1 (S 37 52.017 E 144 53.377) -You will be standing at an information sign, there is a photo of the "B" Team form the Life Saving Club. What year was this from 1GA4.
WP2 (S 37 52.157 E 144 53.697) - Welcome to the Williamstown & Newport Angler's Jetty. Watching the skippers of the boats navigate the waters into and out of the jetty is impressive. B= The Working Load Limit (WLL) of the crane (without all the zeros that goes with the T)
WP3 (S 37 52.077 E 144 53.606) - The Storm Water Pipe. When it rains the water has to go somewhere and unfortunately it also takes with it any rubbish that has been discarded with it, remember CITO! The number of sections of pipe after the first support, doubled and add 2 will give you DE.
WP4 (S 37 52.053 E 144 53.356) - You should be standing next to a light pole out the front of the Life Saving Club. The club has a rich history and may seem familiar to watchers of the ABC TV series Sea Change. On the pole there is a phone number, the first digit = C.
WP5 (S 37 52.086 E 144 53.329) - Rules of the beach, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all beach users there are a few rules that must be followed. Parks Victoria have placed this sign and it shows you in pictures what you cannot do with the red circle through a picture. The number of "No" pictures = H
WP6 - (S 37 52.069 E 144 53.348) Take a seat and calculate. Wait! You are missing F. The number of horizontal rungs on the pool fence is what you seek. Also on a side note, did you know the pool is not 50M long? How long do you think it is? Maybe something for your log?
Final - What you seek is at South 37 AB.CDE East 144 AF.FGH. The cache is a small bison tube with only room for a log scroll, BYO Pen. Stealth will be highly required on days where there is a large beach population.
