I decided to place this geocache in this particular location because of the wonderful scenery here on the banks of the Myall River. This location provides fantastic views down the Myall River to the Singing Bridge, views up and down the river and the wildlife which often includes waterbirds and even dolphins from time to time, along with the various watercraft up and down the river. The geocache is actually named after an old jetty that now provides a roosting place for a number of pelicans and other waterbirds right at this location. It is a great spot for photos of these birds at the end of the day particularly.
This geocache is a nano, so it may prove a little challenging to find - though I don't think it should be really. Please be sure to return it to the same location to avoid muggle interference - and muggles do frequent this area, especially in holiday season, so be wary. You will need a pen to sign the log and possibly an extraction tool as the cache ages (tweezers), though it currently is fairly easy to remove.
Congrats Jesa934 - First to Find.
UPDATE: 29 January 2017 - You will note the old jetty has now disappeared and the large number of pelicans that once roosted there no longer do so as a result. However, there are still pelicans about, they do still roost in the area and it remains a beautiful spot on the river.
