Let it be known that I struggled internally concerning placing this cache. For several reasons. Mostly around the title. Here are the questions that kept popping into my head:
1) Is it appropriate to use my 80s series in the title while also wanting to congratulate Cousins o' Glamping and their little kiddies on #500?
2) Which should come first? Probably Glamping congrats, but then, it would take away to spirit of my 80s titling?
3) Am I being selfish?
4) Is 500 enough to worry about such things? If this were #1000, would I not include my 80s theme at all?
5) Would I even be putting out a Congrats on 500 if I weren't at their series that I had an opportunity to help name in some way?
6) How could I not use this song for this cache when I decided to put this out there near their house when I was finishing off what exists of their KTCA series and this song came on as a perfect 80s song for a letter I haven't use yet?
7) Do Glamping Cousins even want to be congratulated for 500, and moreso, do they want it to be associated with my 80s series?
8) Why do I worry about things like this when I'm getting up in less than five hours to go on my eighth flight in the last two weeks?
9) Who goes to Columbus, Ohio on very little sleep for less than a twelve hours?
10) Go to sleep, Ben. You're an idiot.
Ok, so it's settled. Title is what it is.
So, I am of the opinion that Plainview and the surrounding area, or more honestly, the area where I live, does not have nearly enough geocaches. Furthermore, I think we can all acknowledge that 80s music was better than any music you listen to, unless of course, you listen primarily to 80s music, especially the pansy love songs I listen to, in which case, your music is equally as good as 80s music. So, I plan on beefing up the caching atmosphere near me, and as a bonus, I plan on naming the caches after 80s songs, each starting with a different letter or number, so you all can work towards you profile goals while I continue to only have caches starting with lame letters like A, S and T. It is my pleasure to serve you after all. Also, note that, while I plan on putting out several well thought out, impressive caches, the ones in this series may or may not be anything but. At a minimum, they will be "keep the streak alive" placements. At the maximum, they'll be the thought-provoking ones you expect of better geocachers than I. Enjoy, all.
