Geocache Description:

After the previous version of this SideTracked was archived, with kind permission from TheAdamss I have replaced it, so that West Worthing station continues to be represented in this series. This version of the cache is hidden in a slightly different location. Please bring a pen.

If approaching the cache from the station itself, please take care when crossing the road.

Happy finding!

West Worthing railway station is in Worthing in the county of West Sussex, England. The station was built by J.T. Firbank and opened on 4 November 1889 and is currently operated by Southern. Note that the West Coastway Line faster trains do not stop here. Immediately west of the station, there is a stabling point and a series of sidings. There are two trains per hour to London Victoria, and the line also serves Brighton, Littlehampton and Portsmouth Harbour.
