Faerie Gathering Traditional Cache

My first geo-cache placed after 2 years of geo-caching with my dad. Uncle Jock will maintain it as I live in Norwich but enjoy visiting him and his  family in Portsoy every year. This cache can be found near the old Portsoy Coastguard Hut accessed via the recently renovated Coastguard Trail. We walked this trail last year to another cache that seems to have disappeared but as the walk is so beautiful we wanted to add our own cache.

This cache can be found near the remains of the old Portsoy Coastguard Hut via the recently re-claimed Coastguard Trail. The ground is quite rough and muddy at times through many a gorse bush. Dog walkers are plentiful and the views are stunning from Cullen to the west and past Macduff to the east. There are benches along the way and picnic spots if you need a rest to enjoy the views.

Once you locate the Coastguard Hut remains, the Faerie Gathering is nearby. There are seats, information about the area and even free sweets on occasion.

If you come by car, it can be left in the Back Green car park near the caravan park.
