It's Barn Red Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

Unitzoid: Quite a lot has changed since this cache was placed. I walked a newer, winding trail through a freshly replaced playground on the way to ground zero. Sadly, after much poking about, it was clear the container had been taken. Geocover had deteriorated to a point where nothing remained to conceal a cache.

It is with a heavy heart that I lay another of the color series to rest. Thank you to everyone that sought this hide over the years. [|)]

Geocache Description:

. . . but is it art?

Please note that the letterbox is NOT at the posted coordinates! Bring a magnetic compass (or similar device) for this adventure.

Art can provide direction. When a craft is practiced, the works of previous masters are often consulted. Time and patience reflect one's experiences to that point. Finding this letterbox will be a similar endeavor. From the image you will obtain six special numbers; keep them in the order in which they appear. Label them A, B, C, D, E and F.

Your quest will begin at the entrance to Oakwood Hills Park at 2421 Lynnwood Drive in Columbia. Stand on the sidewalk and face the park. This is the darkened wood through which you must venture! Will you find the hidden treasure or walk aimlessly along the circular trails forever? Your only salvation from such a cruel fate is to follow these directions carefully:

A paces West-southwest | B paces Southwest by South |C paces Southwest by West | D paces West-northwest | E paces Northwest | F paces Northeast by East

The prize awaits where you will come to a rest. Be warned! Eyes of the unworthy (or unknowing) may be present at any time. Stealth is key; take care to not give away this secret treasure. Please leave the rubber stamp you find inside the container; this is for our letterboxing friends.

Lida Gouchenour of the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department kindly provided permission to place this geocache. Please replace everything as found!
