Geocache Description:

The Butterflies series is a circular 6.5 mile walk starting and finishing at Tur Langton. Many of the butterflies named in the series can be seen in the countryside around Tur Langton.

Please see #1 for main description of the walk.

The Meadow Brown is the most abundant butterfly species in many habitats. Hundreds may be seen together at some sites, flying low over the vegetation. Adults fly even in dull weather when most other butterflies are inactive. For some unexplained reason, this species occasionally pairs with other species, such as the Gatekeeper, although no offspring result.
