Geocache Description:

The third cache in the 'Slattadale Sleuth' series, a well metalled (but very wet in parts!) pathway taking you along the Tollie Path between Poolewe and Slattadale, along Loch Maree and some of the most beautiful scenery in the area.

This is a most beautiful walk and it was just shouting out for some caches, to encourage fellow geocachers to experience this area! The total length of the walk is 5miles and the caches are hidden along the way - you can start from either end of the Tollie Path. Both have good parking and the Slattadale end has picnic tables, BBQ sites and toilet facilities right on the shores of Loch Maree. Would strongly recommend good stout walking shoes, waterproof everything! and a walking stick would come in useful. If you bring binox you may be lucky and see a white tailed sea eagle which is what we saw when walking to hide this cache - it was swooping over Loch Maree hunting for tasty fish. A truly wonderful sight. This cache is near to a splendid waterfall which runs into the loch. Due to all the many streams/burns running into the loch, several parts of the path have 'ford' type stepping stones to cross the water. Enjoy the glorious countryside and specacular views - enjoy the silence - enjoy the walk. This is a pretty special area! CONGRATS TO VECTRAMAN AND SON FOR BEING FTF!
