Geocache Description:

The Hennepin Canal National Recreation Trail provides many miles of trail recreation for biking, hiking, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and paddling along a historic canal corridor.

The cache is located along one of the canal's scenic bike paths. The path is paved and level for a nice easy walk. Nothing challenging about the walk. There is a parking area directly next to the bike path. The bike path is lined with some of the biggest trees in the area. Very cool to look at and wonder how old they might be. The idea behind this location is to enjoy the scenery. Cache will contain a log, pencil/pen, and trinkets for the children. Geocache is placed on Department managed property with expressed written permission. Do not place the following items inside the geocache; Food items, inappropriate, offensive, or hazardous materials. It is the visitors responsibility to orient themselves with the policies and rules pertaining to this Department managed site(IL DNR)
