Snacks and juice will start you off and there'll be a raffle after you get a little dirty. The event runs 9am to Noon. Bring your own buckets, gloves, sturdy shoes and water bottles, it helps cut down on waste. It always amazes me each year how quickly a group of strangers can plant a tree in no time flat. Or gather a variety of trash from the shoreline.
If you're more inclined bring a camera and grab a winning photo or bring your bikes and picnic lunch and make a day of it.
Santee Lakes will be co-hosting with I Love a Clean San Diego Creek to Bay Day ~ there are events all over the county ~ so if you can't make it out east just get out there and lend a hand somewhere!
