HU: A Kádár korszakot sokan tartják a Balaton aranykorának és kétségtelen tény, hogy egyedi hangulatával és kommunizmus sajátos szabályrendszerével a magyar turizmus egyik – ha nem is legszebb, de – valószínűleg legérdekesebb időszaka volt. Ezekben az években virágzott a motoros hajózás és ezzel párhuzamosan a diszkóhajók műfaja is. Sokáig elválaszthatatlan része volt a balatoni nyaraknak az éjszakai diszkójáratok esetlen, festett villanykörtés bája, mely mára átadta a helyét a profi hangosítással és minőségi világítással felszerelt bulihajók kiszámított professzionalitásának. Ráadásul a Kádár korszakban ezeknek a hajóknak a jó része inkább a külföldi turisták pénzére hajtott, így az átlag magyar ember számára egyenértékű volt a tiltott gyümölccsel. Posztunkban néhány ikonikus diszkóhajót mutatunk be, melyekhez szinte mindenkinek fűződik valamilyen élménye annak, aki akkoriban gyakran járt a Balatonhoz nyaralni.
Ha a hajók készítésének időrendjében haladunk, akkor az első meghatározó diszkójárat a Helka volt, mely testvérével, a Kelénnel együtt 1891-ben épült, a Balatonfüredi Hajógyárban. A Helka fém hajótestből és fa felépítményből állt. Legjelentősebb felújítására 1964-ben került sor és ezután még 14 évig szolgálta a balatoni hajózást, majd 1980-tól beindult a parti. Ma már nem lehet tudni, hogy kinek támadt az az őrült ötlete, hogy a Balatonfüreden partra emelt hajóból diszkót alakítson ki, de a Helka ezzel a korábbiaknál is egyedibbé vált. A kedves olvasó jól sejti: igen a sólyákra állított Helka szerepelt Bujtor István, Pogány Madonna című filmjének több jelenetében. A szebb napokat is megélt jármű fedélzetéről pofozta a partra és a vízbe a helyi rosszfiúkat Ötvös Csöpi, és itt végezte meglehetősen feltűnő megfigyelő munkáját az öreg Matuska, egy újság mögé rejtőzve. If we go in the chronology of making the ships, the first defining disco flight was Helka, which was built in 1891 together with its brother, Kelén, at the Balatonfüred Shipyard. The Helka consisted of a metal hull and a wooden superstructure. Its most significant renovation took place in 1964 and then it served the navigation on Lake Balaton for another 14 years, then from 1980 the shore started. Today, it is no longer possible to know who came up with the crazy idea of making a disco out of the ship raised ashore in Balatonfüred, but Helka has become more unique than before. The dear reader has a good idea: Helka, set on falcons, was featured in several scenes of István Bujtor's film Madonna of the Pagan. Ötvös Csöpi slapped the local bad guys on the shore and into the water from the deck of the vehicle, which had also survived the better days, and here old Matuska did his rather striking observation work, hiding behind a newspaper.
