At the entrance to the naval base tell the guard you want to see the statue of the monk. He'll direct you down the road to the right. Continue a short way to the parking area right after the pier. Walk past the info booth and other buildings until you reach the 'Glomaluang Chumpon' monument lined with Thai flags. Behind the monument to the left you'll see a dirt path going down toward the beach. Before reaching the beach though look left to find two large palm fronds cemented into the ground marking the start of the trail. Follow the yellow markers on the trees, approximately 0.06 km. You'll have to negotiate a tire-made ladder on the way up, but the trail evens out after that. Along this close, jungly trail, you will see the tree ladder. From there, find the cache 8-10 meters due south of the tree ladder. For more adventure, follow the yellow markers farther along the trail. When you reach the end, post what you find in your log.
