Geocache Description:

The 'On The Pipe' (OTP) series is my first ever non-linier series so I'm hoping that people enjoy finding them. Hiding caches in an urban area is also new to me. All caches are located on pipes near (hopefully) interesting location and are nano in size. I've tried to hide them so that they are relatively easy to find (so that they can indeed be found). I'm hoping to add further caches to the series as time goes by.

This site was previously the site of a tourist attraction and centre of local knowledge until it was moved in 2012 to a new location with a new name (See OTC #3). The 'Symbol of Discovery' was created by sculptor John Skelton (1923-1999) and was unveiled by Sir Charles Wheeler in 1963. The sculpture depicts two hands cradling a man-made jewel of gold leaf set in plastic. The piece was commissioned by Stanley Roth, a local architect.

**UPDATE** (30/07/2015)

EXTREME STEALTH REQUIRED: As there is currently building work going on, the site seems to be plagued by the coming and going of various trades. I suggest extreme stealth be used or the cache located at a time when work is not being carried out (i.e. early morning/evening). I'll keep an eye on this location and update the page as appropriate.
