Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to a science and technology centre in Pietermaritzburg.

This centre is geared at promoting science, technology and maths that are done at school level as learning areas.

Most learners (in both primary and high schools) who do these learning areas do not understand and cannot make any sense of concepts taught due to lack of resources to do practical.

This results in learners to adopt negative attitude towards these subjects, which leads to poor performance.  The centre comes in by bridging the gap through revealing the fun side in these fields.

This is achieved by more than 70 fantastic and interesting interactive curriculum oriented exhibits housed in the science centre.

The centre is the only science centre that features cultural exhibits to show how much of science and technology is found in our culture.  The main target is school learners, however, the centre is open to anyone.

Best is to visit the cache on a Saturday or Sunday.
