Tipton Ford Fishing Acess Traditional Cache

Tipton Ford Fishing Access on Shoal Creek in Missouri is an excellent place to gain access to Shoal Creek. This is an excellent location for bird watching, putting your canoe in the water or for fishing.

There are a few other caches along OLD HIGHWAY 71. It can make for a nice country drive south of Joplin.

This Cache will take a little bit of thought to retrieve once you locate it.

Park in the large parking lot at Tipton Ford Fishing Access and take a short walk south through the woods.

When you find the cache, you are going to need to use you head... nor your muscle.

The cache is a matchstick container inside a larger container, log and room for very small trades... you just have to figure out how to get it out...

A Special Use Permit has been obtained from the Missouri Department of Conservation to allow placement of this Geocache. Permit is valid until 4-15-2016.

1. The park is open from 4 AM to 10 PM.

2. Vehicle use is restricted to graveled and paved roads and established parking areas, unless otherwise posted. Emergency vehicles or other specific vehicles may be authorized special access by a Department Representative.

4. Persons searching for geocaches during firearms deer season and firearms turkey season are strongly encouraged to wear hunter orange.
