This cache is on the top of a rocky outcrop that presents views over Nuxis and beyond. It is easy to find but quite hard to get to, as you will have to scramble up some rocks.
I started from a different point this time, there is a hunter’s track leading out of Nuxis that rapidly takes you up the mountain. It goes up from the very end of the road up the mountain from Nuxis that follows the watercourse (not to be confused with the dirt road that goes to the Antennae). You can park a car there. It is better than the route I took up to the Bella Vista Monte Tamara cache - this is my favourite path now, having just discovered its existence.
Keep to the path. The hike will take you up the hill and over the ridge into the woods. You will come to a cross-roads (see waypoint) where you should turn right, you will at last come across a large rock that rises above the canopy. Scramble to the top of the rock to find the cache, which contains some tradable items. There are fine views and it’s a great place, not far to hike if you haven’t much time.
This is my second cache on Monte Tamara. Easier to get to than ‘Bellavista’, which is much higher. I believe this cache could be found on the way to ‘Bellavista’ (I expect the paths meet higher up, I will explore this on my next visit). I intend to add more caches on Monte Tamara as I explore more of the paths when I visit the area.
