NOTE: It appears that Weyerhaueser has recently purchased this land and posted that it is now off limits from July through December unless you purchase a permit from them.
April 11, 2021 NW-Trail.org is now managing the area for Weyerhauser.
When I placed the container it was by the only stump in the immediate area and not near any blackberries. Unfortunately, the stump has deteriorated and blackberries have overrun the container. I moved the container 20-30 feet further down the trail and closer to it at the base of a balsam fir tree away from the blackberries.
