Området har vært bebodd av fastboende, bohemer, kunstnere og vært et fargerikt miljø med mye spansk kultur.
I dag er mange leiligheter/hus overtatt av utlendinger (norske/tyske etc.)
Området ligger flott til i en åsside mot vest.
Fantastisk havutsikt mot Puerto Rico og Pico de Teide på Tenerife. Pico de Teide rager 3719 meter over havet og er det høyeste punktet på Kanariøyene.
På åssidens østside ligger Anfi del Mar som er bygd opp av nordmannenn Bjørn Lyng. Her er det en flott sandstrand. (Fraktet fra Vestindia.)

Los Caideros er ca midtveis mellom Maspalomas (Playa Ingles) og Puerto Mogan.
FN har kåret dette området på Gran Canaria for det stedet som har best klima, flest soldager, renest vann i havet, fineste strender og renest luft. Det er bare noen få områder i verden som har tilsvarende kombinasjon.

Today many apartments / houses taken over by foreigners (Norwegian / German etc.)
The area is set in a hillside to the west.
Breathtaking sea views towards Puerto Rico and Pico de Teide on Tenerife. Teide rises 3719 meters above sea level and is the highest point in the Canary Islands.
