This is the location of the Prisoners Of War camp for World War II.
There is several signs with information on some of the history of the area, soldiers and prisoners here.
Japanese and Italian prisoners were held here. There was also a breakout on the 5th of August 1944.
Some numbers for the breakout: 231 Japanese soldiers were killed. 4 Australian soldiers also died trying to contain the escapees. 2am was the time it occurred. 108 Prisoners were wounded.
The cache is a nano and should be difficult to find as it would have been difficult to be a prisoner during WWII.
Bring a pen as there is no room for one in the geocache.
