This cache should be an easy find walking down the boardwalk / paved trail , towards bridge number 4 (this is about 1 mile), just before bridge number 4 there is a dirt trail branching off which goes towards the bootjack (or actually might be the bootjack) trail going towards Pantoll ranger station and Mt Tam, you will leave the Muir Woods after about a hundred feet and enter Mt Tamalpais state park, a short walk and you reach Muir Woods # 2,
Just past Muir Woods # 2 there is a nice open area for lunch or picnic, since it's outside muir woods you can eat now :) some fallen trees to sit on in the sun.
continue for another 0.1 mile or so and you reach this cache Muir woods # 3 ,

****VERY IMPORTANT PARKING UPDATE, you have to reserve a spot (for fee) or take the shuttle, please check out the link below, if you are more of a hiker you can always hike in from the top for free, from the pantoll area (parking fee) or park along the road going up to pantoll, there are trails going down from there and road side parking,.
