Small country cemeteries are absolutely amazing to me!

This is a wonderful little country cemetery, located north and west of Elora Ontario in the county of Center Wellington. I have passed it many times as I have journeyed to work, geocaching, Guelph, Kitchener, etc....
The country line on which it is located, is a major route from the northern parts of the Wellington County to the southern counterparts.
I so wish these old places could speak, the original cemetery for Pentland Methodist church was located directly across 8th line. Following Church Union, Pentland Methodist Church became a Pentland United Church in 1925, which in turn became Bethel Mennonite congregation in 1940. Bethel Mennonite Cemetery is located across the road from Bethel Mennonite Church. The cemetery was started in 1948 and the first burials took place in 1953. There was another cemetery, a Primitive Methodist Cemetery, adjoining the present Bethel Mennonite Cemetery. The location of the Primitive Methodist Cemetery is unmarked.
Blessings...

The church has graciously given permission for geocachers to park on the property and for me to hide the cache there and one in the cemetery as well.
I do not recommend parking on the side of the road, as 8th line is a very busy roadway.
Please do not cache during church services. You are all invited to join them if you so inclined.
Please be stealthy when retrieving this cache. Replace the cache as you found it! Happy caching!
