This is the future site of the Stan and Joan Cross Park, the first public park in Fredrickson.
Built sometime between 1924 and 1930 this dairy farm was originally owned by Louis Sutter Sr., his wife Anna, Anna's mother Anna Doeber and Anna's brother, Frank Dueber. Still standing is theMayflower Dairy including the barn, the milking barn, the milk truck garage, a building that probably held other equipment or a horse buggy, the foundation of the milk storage building, and Frank & Anna Dueber's tiny 2-room home. In 1973 and 1984 Stan and Joan Cross bought the land and raised beef cattle. They built their dream home on the land south of the barns in 1991 and lived their until 2003 when the land was sold to Pierce County to be made into a public park. Unfortunately funding was tight and the park has yet to be built 12 years later.
Please treat this area with respect as it is not yet the beautiful park it will one day be. Parking is available but not pretty. Muggles shouldn’t be too huge of an issue, however, this is a very popular spot for local photographers so depending on how nice the day is it could be high traffic.
First to Find will find a FTF trackable coin! This is yours to activate but I request you log it as starting in this cache so I can see how far it's gone as well :)
