NEW UPDATE Oct 20th 2016: About 10 metres on the Loch side of the telegraph pole. Adding this detail due to signs of erosion and climbing on the gravel around the telegraph pole. Cache is a traditional cache, small black plastic box, maybe 5 x 7 inches.
Situated on the north side of the Loch Frisa trail head, this cache was placed and named after an impromptu game made up on the beach at Calgary Bay.
Accessible from Tobermory or on approach from Dervaig, be sure to pull into the car park correctly and off the road. Most of the roads on Mull are single track and though passing places are frequent, they are there for a reason - to allow the traffic to flow smoothly, so please use the car park.
Stunning view points from either side upon approach by car on the road, or better still, absolutely cracking cycle along the track - 8 miles / 13km from the Tobemory side or.... hmmm... a hundred meters or so from the Dervaig side! QUICK ADDITIONAL UPDATE FOLLOWING FEEDBACK: Walking distance from Tobermory is approx. 4.3 miles or 7km one-way (so 8.6 miles or 14km round-trip). It is acheivable and certainly a good way to slow down and savour the sights, sounds and smells island and get some exercise, but be prepared as there are no places to get refreshments en-route.
