Geocache Description:

A group of cachers have gathered together to place caches along The Hertfordshire Way; a 194 mile circular route along public rights-of-way within the County of Hertfordshire.

The most recent guidebook divides the route into 16 legs, each making up a comfortable day’s walk of about 12 miles (shortest is 11, longest 15). The route has been chosen to pass through a variety of Hertfordshire scenery, mostly in open countryside but also passing through some of our more interesting and attractive villages

Leg 9 stretches from Shenley to Cuffley for 11.5 miles. I have lived in the area for many years and didn't know the Herts Way existed, or that it was so close. I hope you enjoy discovering it

The cache

The cache is along a nice path at the back of Northaw Place.  Northaw Place was originally built c1690 - and has now been coverted into several exclusive dwellings in the original house and stable blocks.

Bring your own pen - some tweezers maybe useful too.
