Geocache Description:

This is a historical cache to teach something about local history.

In the late 1800's Col. L. M. Monsees developed the beautiful Limestone Valley Farm where he produced the best jack stock in the world.  Jack stock refers to donkeys that were crossed with draft horse mares to produce good Missouri Mules.  At the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair Limestone Valley swept the jackstock show, winning virtually every class and a LOT of money.  In fact, they won so much money, that they bought a barn and had it moved to their farm.

The geocache is a simple key lock container on a sign.  Thats not the reason for this cache.  After you find the cache look off to the east and you will see a big barn that was once red.  That is the barn that Col Monsees bought and had moved to his farm.  The barn is on private property. You can drive by and look and don't go into the barn.
