Lithuanian National Radio and Television is the national public broadcasting company of Lithuania based in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. It has provided regular radio service since 1926 and television broadcasting since 1957. Strict censorship was caried out by Germans and Soviets during their occupations from 1940 to 1989.
