Geocache Description:

The final for this multi will take you to an area the neighborhood kids call "The Beach".  Who knew there was a beach in Cheektowaga. *** See long description for note about stage 3***

Similar to our last cache, We Didn't Start The Fire, finders will have to work to earn this smiley.  For this cache, we will take you to another forgotten area of Cheektowaga.  This land is owned by the Town of Cheektowaga and the County of Erie.  They use a portion of the land to dump fill and if you look close enough, road kill.  The land is open for people to walk through and many end up walking back here to get to their favorite fishing spots.  After the first leg, you may stumble upon a trail that will help you along the way.  If you don't find the trail, bushwacking will be in order.  The cache was placed in the spring.  Only one leg would end up snow covered if the ground if covered.  Please be careful completing this cache.  It has a high difficultly rating for a purpose.  You will end up near the creek.  Do not attempt this cache when the creek is flowing fast.  Also, I encourage you to cache with a friend.  Not only will the extra eyes help, but it is nice to have someone else around in case you get into something you can't get yourself out of.  The area is very seculed and no one will hear your cry for help!  I've added hints to this cache, which have affected the difficulty level.  Add a star in your mind if you are able to complete this without using the hints.  Please have fun and be safe.

Special Note: I hid most of the legs for this cache in March. I didn't get around to finishing it until July. And I must say that the overgrowth in the summer is intense. Even though this is a 4.5 difficulty, I must throw some hints in the description. The GPS does bounce in some areas. You will not need to go into the creek for this cache. Close to it yes. There even may be times that when the creek is flowing, you won't be able to get to a leg. Please be careful and again, I really do suggest having someone with you when you try this one. And one last bit, I realize those who finish this one in the summer may say, where's the beach. Well, it's there, but the knotweed it overpowering the beach this time of the year. **** The raging waters of stage 3 caused me to have to move it. When you find the cords for stage 3 at stage 2, add 16 to the west coordinates. Message me if you have any questions****
