Marina is a biographical film released in 2013 and directed by Stijn Coninx. The film is based upon the life of the Italian singer Rocco Granata who moved to Belgium when he was a young boy. It features Matteo Simoni as Rocco Granata and Evelien Bosmans as Helena. Most part of the film is in Italian as Rocco's parents did not speak the Dutch language. Other parts are in Dutch and some dialogues in French and English.

The film was first shown at the Montreal World Film Festival on 25 August 2013. It was released in Belgium in November. The film won a Golden Award at the Ostend Film Festival and the "publics favourite award" at the Valladolid International Film Festival.

Dubai Marina In a city that’s full of awe-striking buildings, Dubai Marina stands out as the home to some of Dubai’s newest and most fascinating buildings and attractions where visitors can relax in comfort and luxury along the waterfront it is a relatively new attraction in Dubai. It’s characterised by a dramatic skyline of skyscrapers and residential apartment blocks, and looks particularly impressive when illuminated at night. With many constructions still in development, Dubai Marina is changing all the time but there’s always something for visitors to explore and enjoy.

One of the best ways to see Dubai Marina is simply to walk around it. The marina area has been built with several kilometres of walkways, ideal for an afternoon stroll or a moonlight walk after a romantic meal.  Throughout the day and night, visitors flock to Dubai Marina for its world-beating selection of restaurants, cafes and shops. There are occasional markets in Dubai Marina as well and it is also popular to hire a yacht to enjoy a cruise around the area.

Dubai Marina is an artificial canal city, built along a two mile (3 km) stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline.  In order to create the man-made marina, the developers brought the waters of the Persian Gulf into the site of Dubai marina, creating a new waterfront. There is a large central waterway, excavated from the desert and running the length of the 3 km site. More than 12% of the total land area on the site has been given over to this central public space. Although much of this area is occupied by the marina water surface, it also includes almost 8 km of landscaped public walkways.

The marina is entirely man-made and has been developed by the real estate development firm Emaar Properties of the United Arab Emirates and designed by HOK Canada.  Upon completion, it is claimed to be the world's largest man-made marina. The current largest man-made marina in the world is Marina del Rey in California, USA. There is a publicly accessible foreshoreway around the marina and some sections of public oceanway along the beach with views to Palm Jumeriah. Its largest development is the Jumeirah Beach Residence.  Dubai Marina opened doors to it's only mosque Masjid Al Rahim in October 2013, which is situated in the southern end of the Marina
