Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Troop262: Went to check on the cache and confirmed that it is no longer there. The recycling center is also gone so I'm going to free up this area for someone else. It had a decent run. Thank you everyone who came to look for it.

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed by a scout in Troop 262 to satisfy one of the requirements for the Geocaching merit badge.

One of the requirements for a Boy Scout to earn the rank of Eagle Scout is to complete either the Environmental Science or Sustainability merit badge. These merit badges help the scout keep his Outdoor Code promise to be conservation minded by exploring ways to reduce our impact on the environment.

While Reduce and Reuse have their places, Recycling helps to keep used materials out of our landfills and allows them to be substituted for raw materials and transformed into new goods. Additionally, the redemption of qualifying cans, plastic and glass containers can provide a supplementary source of funds.

This cache is hidden near one of many neighborhood recycling centers used by scouts in our Troop. Because this area can be quite busy during the day, please use the hint and stealth to access and replace the cache. Added an extra point of difficulty due to the need for stealth in this open area. This is a log only cache, and please bring your own writing utensil. Kids and someone in a wheelchair will need help retrieving the cache.

Congratulations to KendraH on the FTF!
