Geocache Description:

Imagine a dark and stormy night, two miles in the woods from Sweet n Low, my trusty steed, when my flashlight turns off.

I have upped the terrain rating due to the condition changes of the location during summer... It should still be pretty easy, just now you can't really see where you are going =)

I try the backup batteries, and it turns out the flashlight is to blame! Dang Mac light (names have been changed to protect the not so innocent) use to be such a great brand! I know I'm about 30 ft to the cache and in it is the elusive TB that took me out here in the first place, so I hunker down and proceed to find the cache before my phone dies. But alas! Before that can happen, I trip over a huge bone in the trail! It's big enough to trip me, and it's all by itself. I continue to the cache, and as I'm looking for prize, my mind keeps wandering back to that bone. It's not long before I come to the conclusion that whatever put that bone there could probably put ME somewhere, and here I am unarmed.

I walk back to the 2 foot long bone and pick it up. I head back and get the elusive "found it!"   Inside I find a 2' long teddy bear with a TB attached to his neck.

As I walk back to Sweet n Low, in the dark, and the pouring rain, carrying a 2' long bone in one hand, a 2' long plush in the other, and juggling a non functioning Mac light between them, it occurs to me that I have made some terrible decisions in my life. It was also in that moment that I came to the conclusion that I am a true cacher, to my core!

So that is how my collection of this type of thing began. And if you look for it, you will find that very one here! So good luck, have fun, and be true to you!

Part one of this cache was placed, with permission from the property owner, and two days after being released, the second catchers to look for it, get caught by overly-protective-but-well-meaning-neighbors. When asked, those cachers did what was right and told them what they were doing. After the family left, over-protective-but-well-meaning-neighbor destroys it, smashes the pieces that can be, and with great fervor, chucks the ones that won't deep into brush whack territory. After that, they contact my reviewer and sends them an, what I could only imagine, a well meaning letter. They had to of because my reviewer sent me a letter describing how My cache is being archived for not gaining proper permission to place my cache. The next day, I go to the property owner to make certain that I had not inadvertently stepped over the property line, and she confirms, that no, I was in the right place... So what happened to my cache?! When I left her house, I met overly-protective-but-well-meaning-neighbor who tells me that they were the ones who destroyed it... So, I moved, and rebuilt, and now it is here. Great place, good parking, and no neighbors! Then the grass grew, and it grew, and grew some more. 6' in fact, and due to the hill I upped the T rating due to the fact that now you couldn't see were it dropped down. Then it kept getting knocked down. I met the culprit in my third time setting it back up, a beaut of a buck he was! So I raised it high enough so he wouldn't knock it down anymore. After that, the ivy showed up and covered it completely! Just a nose was sticking out! It was becoming a real treat watching this cache morph in such a short length of time! Until today. Ohhh I have this friend, who mooed softly to me in one image... Oh good gosh! What happened?! Who does that?!!!!! So now the terrain is back to where it started I think, and the beauty has been ungraciously robbed of this place. Maybe it's an omen for disturbing the dead?
