Welcome to Jesse Pinkman's Cache. Who is Jesse Pinkman you say? Well for those of you who are fans of the show "Breaking Bad" you will know who Jesse Pinkman is. Skip down to the cache section find out more about this prize. For the rest of you, proceed to the show.
THE SHOW
Jesse Pinkman is one of the main characters of the show. Jesse Pinkman, played by actor Aaron Paul, is local Albuquerque, NM meth cook/drug dealer and was also a student in Walter White's high school chemistry class. The two unlikely characters end up going into business together cooking meth though to a much higher standard set by Walter White (Pinkman cooked meth spiked with chili powder, hence the name Chili P meth). White, who was diagnosed with potentially terminal lung cancer and wanted to leave a nest egg behind for his family, teams up with Pinkman and starting cooking meth in a rolling "RV" lab. Their "product" is so pure that they get the attention of a big time meth distributor named Gustavo Fring who eventually sets up a mega meth lab beneath Gus's industrial laundry where White and Pinkman make thousand of dollars working for Gus in his secret underground meth lab.
The show was famous for numerous twists and turns involving quite of the few of the regular characters on the show not only including White, Pinkman and Fring, but also White's wife Skyler, his brother and sister in law Hank (a DEA Agent) and Marie Schrader, Saul Goodman (White's sleazy attorney), Mike Ehrmantraut (Gus's right hand man/hit man/head of security). With such memorable and insane characters in very popular show, a cache series based upon these characters should be done.
THE CACHE
"Yo, yo, yo cachers! You think you can find my secret stache of blue goodness???? Do you cachers think you are up for the challenge? My homies Skinny Pete, Badger and Combo doesn't think so! I think theres a few of you that will. So, cachers (Pinkman would have used a different name, a female name of a dog, but we will keep this more above board for a family friendly activity) go to the listed coordinates. This is like, yo, the first stage. This takes you to a green and white sign which talks about some freaking rule about parks. There is a 4 digit parks ordinance. Take down that number as you will need it at the final stage.
A word about the final. Getting up to the cache is where the 3 star terrain rating is. Getting to WP 1 is a 1.5 terrain. Getting to the final, is a 3. The trailhead to the final starts at the west end of the Cedar River Trail Bridge that goes over the Cedar River. You crossed this bridge if you parked at the listed parking coordinates. See the ropes going up? thats where YOU are going. This cache IS NOT for folks with any sort of physical disability (you need a mental one to do this cache!). I used the ropes and a trek pole to get up to the trail above. If its rained recently, you can bump the terrain up to a 3.5. Once up top there is a well established trail to the cache. See the hint for further details in terms of what you are looking for.
There is a cash reward for the FTF. If you are willing to risk the steep climb up, then, you will be rewarded. Also note that since WP 1 is in a Renton park, this is NOT a 24/7 cache. Do not attempts this one at night.
