The Cache is hidden about ten mintues walking distance from the Ffestiniog Railway's Tan y Bwlch Station. It is hidden near a car parking area in slightly rough terrian - to get to the cache there is a bit of a scramble. The cache is in a black bag and is a box which is large enough to leave goodies and TB's
To find the cache you can either park at the given parking coordinates which means that you will be close to the cache or you can do it if walking through the forest. The third way is to walk from Tan y Bwlch Station where there is a cafe and toilets. If you come from the Station you need to walk over the footbridge and along the path, at the gate turn left down the lane - please be careful here as this is a through route that is used. at the bottom of the lane turn right and you will find the area where the cache is to be found a little way up of the right. This road can be a busy one so please be careful when you cross and watch out for the geokids and geohounds. This is a cache which can be done if you have caught a train to Tan y Bwlch and have an hour or so before your return train.
From here you can walk down past Hafod y Llyn and through the forest to Plas Tan y Bwlch or down to Penrhyn. Going in the other direction there are paths that take you up to Blaenu Ffestiniog which follow the route of the Ffestiniog Railway for much of the way and are good for taking photos of steam engines.
