***SAFETY ALERT*** THE GEOCACHE IS LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROAD. THERE IS A LIVE ELECTRICAL FENCE ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROAD, DO NOT GO NEAR THAT AREA.
This series of geocaches was inspired by a book I recently read which referenced the Language of the Hobo.
Beginning in the 1880s, and still today, hobos placed markings on fences, posts, signs, sidewalks, buildings, trestles, bridge abutments, trees, and railroad equipment to aid them in finding help or for warning others of trouble. Usually, these signs would be written in chalk or coal letting others know what they could expect in the area of the symbol.
There are seven (7) geocaches in this series.
Six (6) TRADITIONAL GEOCACHES
One (1) PUZZLE GEOCACHE
YOU MUST GATHER THE INFORMATION IN EACH OF THE SIX TRADITIONAL GEOCACHES TO SOLVE THE PUZZLE GEOCACHE.
Inside each geocache is a pill bottle labeled GAME PIECE DO NOT TAKE.
There is only one game piece in each geocache which MUST BE LEFT IN THE GEOCACHE.
This game piece has a phrase such as “KIND LADY”, “WATER", etc. written on it.
You will need to gather the necessary information from each geocache IF you wish to find the puzzle cache.
You will also need to make note of which geocache the information came from (ABCDEF), which will be included in the name of each cache.
In order to claim this cache as FOUND you MUST physically find the container and sign the log book.
Please bring your own writing implement.
I hope you have fun with this series. If you have any problems please feel free to contact me.
