Deer Lakes Park is really a hidden gem. It has hiking trails, fishing, the observatory, an amazing disc golf course, and not enough geocaches. this is a simple traditional cache that can be accessed via the orange or purple trails. The terrain is light to moderate and the trails are marked well. The cache is within 15 feet of the trail and no bushwacking is required. The orange trail is the shortest hike and stays on higher ground, while the purple trail is cooler on hot summer days as it follows the creek and crosses several wooden bridges.
