Geocache Description:

Field puzzle cache in Pegg's Wood off the Dave Kerwin Trail. Special tool required. Please read on!

This cache will be about a 3.5 kilometre round-trip hike if you park at the posted parking co-ordinates at the trail head for the Dave Kerwin Trail - less if you use other access points.

Note that approaching from the west or southwest requires a stream crossing but the east approach does not.

This is only our second field puzzle cache. Note that you will require a special tool to access the log. The tool required is one or two (two in the event the first one breaks) #62 rubber bands. That is all you will need to retrieve the container and logbook. It's your task to figure out how. It might take a few tries before you get the hang of it. If you are unfamiliar with what a #62 rubber band looks like, we have provided a photo in the gallery.

In the event both of your rubber bands break or if you are one of those cachers who doesn't read the description before heading to a cache, an emergency supply has been provided for you at the cache. Please only use these if you must. You can leave your rubber bands in the provided container for others or take them with you.

Please practice good geocaching etiquette and ensure the lid is securely on the log container and replace everything exactly as you found it for the enjoyment of the next cacher.

Take note: Use only a #62 rubber band to access the cache. Lighter elastics won't work and other methods could damage it. Place nothing in the container except the logbook and pencil you find in it. Placing anything else in it will effect the retrieval for others.

In spring and early summer slap on the mosquito repellent!

Enjoy and happy hunting!

CONGRATULATIONS TO GADGET63 FOR BEING FTF (FIRST TO FIRE) WOOOHOOO!
