Withybush woods has been a developing woodland walk for several years now, first with the path being tarmacked, later edged with timber rails (which didn't work out and were removed) and most recently, the managed removal of the rhododendron and laurel, which had been planted here and spread to cover the forest floor.
This had the result that the indigenous species were smothered and died, but are now starting to return, thanks to the efforts of the arboriculturalists in removing the invaders.
This is a lovely walk for owners and dogs are welcome, but please be considerate of the wildlife, particularly the waterfowl, which include ducks, moorhens and a breeding pair of swans. Bins for rubbish are provided at the start of the walk. One of my other caches is located here.
Please be considerate of your surroundings and replace the cache as found, making sure to screw the top on tight to avoid getting the inside of the cache wet.
Please trade even or up if yoou take swag.
