Roatan has been listed as having one of the best beaches, snorkelling and diving in the world. To protect the fragile coral reef the Roatan Marine Park was formed in 2005 - this group of volunteers ensure tourists can enjoy the reef without damage. The reef is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System - the second largest barrier reef in the world. The reef is filled with a wide array of acquatic life - a divers paradise. Kim and Ed or any of the staff would be happy to tell you about the reef and any new species recently spotted or how you can see them.
This cache is only available during the day. After 4pm the cache is locked up safe for the night.
