Information: The shoemakers business was started in 1468. Before the house used to be a part of the monastery. It was a family business. In 1720 shoemaker Michael Schöffman went to Paris to improve his skills. When the men were replaced by machines, the shoemaker business ended, so a photographer opened a shop. Nowadays it is a family house.

Since 1300, we can find this building here. It was owned by the monastery of Benediktbeuern and it was sold in 1490 so it became private property. From 1800 on, it functioned as a restaurant / hotel. In 1911, it became a family business and nowadays it is run by the 4th generation of the family. The specialties of this restaurant / hotel are Schweinebraten mit Knödel and Krautsalat. The visitors of this restaurant are international: from Africa, America and so on. Each day, approximately 200 visitors come here. They usually wear their traditional clothes like the lederhosen and the dirndl.

The restaurant Jägerstuben opened in 1973. It is opened for 40 years. Before there was normal house and then it became a restaurant, bistro and bar. This restaurant is family business. The son of the family cooks typical Bavarian food and local specialites – Schweinebraten (pork meat). They get meat from local farmers. About six people work in the restaurant. The restaurant is open on Thursday and every day at the weekend. The restaurant is visited by 50 to 100 people in one day. And some famous people visited this place too like the singer Peter Maffay, the mountainclimber Reinhold Messner and the german artist Hayo von Stetten.

His father travelled a lot, learned from other bakeries and gave it through to his son, who still uses this. And all that without chemicals and modern technologies.
