Två sjöar runt #1# Traditional Cache

I have created a series of caches that leads you around two beautiful lakes in Danderyd. Caches can be captured individually or several, perhaps even all, at the same walk. I wish that the series will inspire your own walks in our beautiful Danderyd. The location of the caches is carefully thought out and it is hoped that each cache gives you a unique experience.

This cache is placed close to my favorite swimming spot at Ösbysjöns south side. In this lake are grass carp implanted. These large fish can often be observed from the jetty. Please take a look! Carp is a species originally from Asia. In the 1960s, planted it into the Danube to prevent the overgrowth. This lake said to be the first lake in Sweden where the carp was planted as an experiment. Now, the municipality has put up a sign announcing that they had problems with large carp that are very  impertinent because of feeding. Visitors are therefore asked not to feed the carps.
