Wet Spring weather in early 2015 caused a number of landslides in the area. This cache is placed near where a section of road and forest was swept down into the river. Now that the road is rebuilt there are wonderful views up and down the Slocan River from a new vantage point.

The new view of a section of the Slocan River too rough for inner tube floating. The kayakers play here. There's a yellow one in the middle of the river and a blue one just to the left of the big rock.
Turn onto Goose Creek Road immediately after crossing the Slocan River bridge at Shoreacres. The suggested parking spot (N49 25.718 W117 32.418) is on the other side of the road. Drive to the end of the road to get a quick view of the aftected area. Come back and park just past the new opening in the forest. Then walk over and enjoy the views either before or after finding the easy hide.
