Firehall #2 Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Being a Volunteer Firefighter for over 25 years, I felt this was a perfect spot to hide my first cache. Thanks toCachin'Cari for helping me with this cache and introducing me to Geocaching.
Please park on the street to keep the parking lot clear in case of emergency. Feel free to view the trucks by entering the lot on foot. The rear of the building houses a caretakers residence so please avoid this area to allow for privacy. This should be an easy find and a pencil is provided. Lots of thing inside for the kids. No need trade items. I will keep the cache stocked. First to find is a ride in a firetruck for up to five passengers with at least one being an adult. Message me to claim. If you have no kids (grandkids, nieces, nephews) please note in the log that you are leaving it for the next person. Firehall #2 was opened in 1981 to serve the area south of Quesnel under a contract with the City. Being in the regional district, it is sometimes thought to be its own entity but it is part of the Quesnel Fire Department. This hall has approx 20 firefighters and houses a 2008 pumper with a 1250 water tank and a 1981 water tender with a 2500 gallon tank.
