This cache is part of a drive/cycleby series from Ebchester to Currock Hill on mostly country lanes with pullins at or near all caches, some of the lanes are narrow so take care if you have children and or dogs wih you
From here now that the trees are cut down you get a good overview of the old quarry and all the lumps and bumps of the landscape that are the remains of glacial deposits laid down at the end of the last ice age.For a time thousands of years ago this area was the leading edge of the ice cap and when it melted the resulting out pouring of moraine left sand and gravel deposits all down the Derwent and Tyne valleys.
The cache is a magnetic 35mm film case
