Geocache Description:

The caches at High Ash Farm were placed with the kind permission of Chris and Daniel Skinner. Please remember this is a working farm, please keep your dog on a lead. This walk is approximately 4 miles unless you add other nearby caches. The farm is a no cycling area, please do not cycle on the grassed area’s.

High Ash No 1

High Ash Farm is situated just 2 miles south of Norwich at Caistor St. Edmund in beautiful wooded and rolling countryside. The farm is a haven for wildlife with half the farm being set aside for wildlife crops. Chris’s knowledge and understanding of nature has resulted in a wide variety of wildlife establishing healthy populations at High Ash including barn owls, skylarks, goldfinches, reed buntings, hares, badgers, deer, foxes, solitary bees, grass snakes, orchids and bluebells. All wildlife finds a safe home at High Ash Farm and this makes for a rich and varied ecosystem. Foxes and their cute cubs, noisy rooks and magnificent birds of prey thrive alongside singing skylarks, chattering sparrows and gliding barn owls. There’s always something to see with nature busy all around the farm.

As a responsible geocacher you will of course afford the environment, the flora and the fauna the respect they deserve

When I'm out caching I carry a supply of replacement log sheets so that I can help out the cache owner by carrying out any maintenance that's required.

If anybody would like to replace any logs that need urgent servicing in my caches, please do so.
