Blago Zadro rodio se u Grudama 1944. godine. Kao desetogodišnjak doselio se zajedno s obitelji u Borovo naselje, gdje je završio školu, zaposlio se u tvornici "Borovo" i osnovao obitelj. Po izbijanju Bitke za Vukovar, iako nije bio vojno školovan, zbog svojih izuzetnih organizacijskih sposobnosti i hrabrosti preuzima zapovijedanje obranom čitavog Borova naselja. Pod njegovim vodstvom na Trpinjskoj cesti, koja je zbog toga i prozvana "Groblje tenkova", uništeno je desetak neprijateljskih tenkova. Bio je hrabar i odlučan, zapovjednik koji je u borbu kretao prvi, no iz jedne se nije vratio. Poginuo je 16. listopada 1991. godine blizu Trpinjske ceste, pokošen rafalom iz puškostrojnice dok je vodio svoje suborce u akciju.

Blago Zadro was born in Grude in 1944. When he was 10 he moved with his family to Borovo naselje, where he finished school, got a job in the "Borovo" factory and started a family. After the outbreak of the Battle for Vukovar, although he was not militarily trained, he took over command of the defense of the entire Borovo naselje because of his outstanding organizational skills. Under his leadership a dozen of enemy tanks were destroyed on the Trpinja road, and that is the reason why it's called "The tank graveyard". He was brave and determined, the commander who moved first in the fight, but he did not return from one of those. He died on 16 October 1991 near Trpinja road. He was shot by machine gun while he led his comrades in action.
