Geocache Description:

This is an extension to the caches laid by sidekick_spike and  myself at Whitlingham Broad.  You are looking for a cleverly hidden and very camouflaged cache at just above ground level. This is another different cache but one a keen geocacher should spot quickly. This is our furthest most cache laid to date.

My name is Brian and since retirement I have retreated to the Norfolk Broads. Life in the garden was fun with Ermintrude and Zebidee but now I am old I am even slower and gardeners hate the fact that I like to munch on their greens! Here in Whitlingham no one leaves those horrid pellets lying around and I am safe to go about my business munching and admiring the scenery.

Once you have found me, take me to the bench nearby where you can sign my logbook, have your photograph taken with me (I am a celebrity you know!) and admire the river boats cruising by (in the summer time). Feel free to feed me if you bring yourselves a picnic- nothing salty mind.

Just southeast of Norwich situated near the picturesque village of Trowse lies the wonderful Whitlingham Country Park. As well being a great place to walk, jog, cycle, sail, picnic or bird watch the Park also offers a huge range of other engaging activities including moth and bat evenings, pond dipping, quarry safaris and canoe trails; in fact the list is endless!

The Park prides itself on being completely inclusive and there is fun for all the family and furry friends of all varieties! There is a wheelchair accessible path around the Great Broad (about 2 miles/3 km) and two all-terrain wheelchairs are available to book from the visitor centre.

BEWARE- TRIP HAZARDS ON PATHWAY!

Thank you to Pip Moon from the Broads Authority for granting us permission to lay this cache.
