Ray Ellerbrook was the Director of the City of Northampton's Recreation Department for 27 years. He was then the Executive Director of Look Memorial Park in Florence, Massachusetts. Ray was instrumental in getting this former Northampton State Hospital property renovated and turned into Athletic Fields.
Ray lost his 10 year battle with cancer on September 18, 2013 at the age of 65. Over 300 people attended a memorable celebration of his life that was held at the Ellerbrook Field. It was a fitting tribute to a man who did and gave so much to this community.
