A miller lies to his king: „My daughter can spin straw to gold!“ The king locks the girl into a room full of straw. „By morning this better be gold!“ Gosh, she must have felt like in a fairy-tale, when the skinny old rumpelstiltskin appeared to help her!
We can easily empathize with her: Visiting Newfoundland makes us feel like in a fairy-tale, too! Since more than a year we’ve been planning and anticipating and waiting. There is so much we want to see and experience in this extraordinary country!
Of course, being avid geocachers, we are especially keen to get in contact with the local cacher community: swapping cachehunter stories and TBs, hearing about local caches and sites, ‚spinning golden threads‘ between St. John’s and our hometown Schwerte in Germany.
After all, we might have been close neighbours back then during the Ordovician period, a mere 450 million years ago!
