Geocache Description:

A Historic Cache for all ages!

Ammo Container with lots of space for TBs and fun stuff!

This cache is placed on a historic Farmington Hills Farm. Do not enter private property within the black fence. This old farm is private property, so please no trespassing or night caching. The property owner gave permission for the cache, but asks that geocachers park on Rosedale, which is nearby, just across Halsted Road.

An attorney from Detroit built the brown house in front of you in 1916 when Woodrow Wilson was president. This used to be a working farm. The first owner, Luther Green, was a pioneer settler that moved to Michigan from New York in 1826. The white house to the north was built in the 1830's, when Andrew Jackson was president!  Since the late 1820's, this farm has been called the Luther Green Farm, the Luther Lapham Farm, the Mary Powers Farm (great granddaughter of the first settler of Farmington), the Bulkley Farm, and since the 1940's, the current owners have called it the Maple Woods Farm.

Please watch out for muggles driving or walking by and enjoy! And especially enjoy the rows of Farmington Hills Heritage Locust trees that line Halsted Road and the original 1830's entrance to the Luther Green Farm. (They kind of look like Wizard of Oz trees!) PLEASE leave a TB if you take a TB. Thank You.

FTF: The Frito Bandito, Hawaii Vi and DaFinns who we had the pleasure of meeting in person as we hid the cache!
