Don't know what tapirs are? They're large mammals, most closely related to horses and rhinos, that live in the forests of Southeast Asia, Central America, and South America. Until recently, there were four recognized species; in 2013, a fifth species was identified. All types of tapirs are endangered. People often confuse tapirs with anteaters, but they are actually herbivores that use their prehensile snouts to grab leaves.
